GAIA
Earth Goddess
The ancestral mother of all life, bearer of mountains and rivers; sky and sea,
Gaia represents the synergistic systems of energy rooted in organic grace.
Gaia represents the synergistic systems of energy rooted in organic grace.
From a small fishing community in Alaska, to the rugged peaks of Colorado I now call home, my life journey has been defined by subsistence, persistence, adventure, and connections. The ebb and flow of my interactions with diversely beautiful environments and associated people have navigated my course to live receptively with intention and gratitude.
As a mother, my greatest hope for my children is that they will be the balance of both my influence as supporter, teacher, and lover of the natural world, and their internal compass; that they will be grounded by humility, yet take risks to rise and shine beyond the restricting world of boxes in which we live.
Mountain Gaia exists as a resource along what can feel like a twisted trail of chaos to a nourishing path rooted with resources to support your active lifestyle. We'll share tips and tricks for adventuring outdoors, inspiration for getting out the door in the first place, as well as anecdotal education for proactive health along the way. Embrace your journey!

Annie Thompson, A Mountain Mama
“The love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth, the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only paradise we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need...”
